Sales Manager

Teel Plastics is currently seeking a Sales Manager who will play a key role in external sales and drive in new business opportunities for Teel to achieve its growth goals. The Sales Manager will develop plans and execute strategy for deeper penetration into new and existing key accounts. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for prospecting new leads and sales opportunities, identify new targets and market direction, will act as liaison between target customer and Marketing, Sales and New Product Development all within Teel’s target vertical markets.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting New Business      

  • Develop Plans and execute strategy for deeper penetration into new and existing key account base
  • Prospecting new leads and sales opportunities to support Teel’s vision and business plan. These targets should fit within Teel’s target vertical markets and help fill utilization
  • This role will also identify new targets to include market and target account research

Account Maintenance

  • Serve as an information conduit between the target customer and Marketing, Sales and New Product Development departments
  • Follow the guidelines for target customer and stage gate process
  • Assist in setting pricing strategies

All efforts need to be aligned with the business plan and target vertical markets.

Travel is greater than 50%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in relevant technical field such as Polymer Science, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Business, Marketing or Communications degree will also be considered
  • Valid professional experience in similar roles will be strongly considered
  • 3-5 years sales experience in the plastics industry  

Must have the ability to interact with others, have strong oral and written communication skills, experiance with CRM and ERP is ideal, and strong organizational and analytical skills.

A proven track record of success is a plus.
